Isnt providing disabled only parking a form of discrimination especially as the blue badge scheme allows them to park anywhere in any case. There's something not quite right here we have disabled bays which can ONLY be used by blue badge holders, and we have loading bays which can be used by anyone including blue badge holders. The parking has been reduced by half and what is left is going ...

Thats all well and good, but we never find out who is responsible and if they ever get sacked for incompetence. This is not the first time road traffic orders have not been applied for in the region, but motorists have been victimised.

Lets hope they bulldoze it and stop wasting our money. The Police should have the final word in addition to the surrounding business owners.

Would it be fair to say that people who live in any form of social or rented accomodation need to accept the fact that the property is never going to be their own unless they buy it.  Therefore would it not be right for the people paying all or part of the rent  to have a say on how suitable the property is for an individuals needs. Applications for benifits have to be made online via computer due to them probably being administered in South Africa, India, Pakistan, Poland or anywhere else on the planet where people work for nothing. @wondering - be carefull, because the reason i mentioned it was that each authority has a different price scale. so if you get a taxi licenced by exeter city or torbay the price "could" be different - thanks

@Alexcrossland - beg to differ speed humps are not legal and several authorities have been successfully sued for installing them thus causing damage to vehicals. the raised areas crossing the strand are not legitimate crossings as they are not being constructed as such therefore they are a wilfully placed obstructions. the point being made here is not about the speed vehicles travel down the ...

@ burnside - Sorry my mistake I meant to say rules not laws. The pedestrian section of the highway code does contatian rules, but aparantly these are not enforcable by law. However section 137 does cover diliberate obstruction even by pedestrians. The referance to Jaw Walking is of course American terminology but could not think of any other descriptor for it.

@wondering Lots of variables on that, for Teignbridge better check with the Taxi office at Forde house for the recommended charge. Depends on operator, distance from base, time of day or bank holiday, taxi or private hire cab.

Three buses a hour meant one every 20 minutes enough time to get to Exeter without getting held up behind one. Five buses a hour means delays every 12 minutes. More hold ups, more accidents cause they cant stay on their own side of the road, time lost, business lost, increased journey time = more fuel used. You just couldnt invent this. Pedestrians, Cyclists, buses, tempoary traffic lights. ...
