@User 4549 . i think the guy he passes the messages to is called john halliday, (neighbourhood highway manager). having asked questions of him before seems he's just the fence sitter who pushes the paper from one slot to another, probably on about £50,000 a year for doing so. See the new parking ticket machines obviously cost a fair bit of the 1.7 million pound budget, were as the safety hand rails and fencing look like bits of reclaimed timber from Trago fitted together by the local playgroup. Just had a right ding dong with stagecoach 2 bus driver on the bends by the hairdressers. Could clearly see from his cab the traffic cued back from the temp lights to the Strand but carried on pushing through over the oncoming side of the road with nowhere to go thus blocking the whole road both ways.
