I was down Newhay a few weeks back. Daytime. Sat and listened to a bird (don't know what type) singing away on a nearby branch for all it was worth. Mesmerisingly beautiful.
On the compulsory purchase bit of this bill: The government is going to reform the CPO process so that landowners receive today's market value of property, rather than its future value. Which would mean that landowners, farmers, and individual property owners could see their compensation fall significantly under the new compulsory purchase orders. So.....no point in buying farms ...
