And we are told that the drains and sewers can cope with all the new house building. They cant even cope with a 30 min rain storm or an influx of holiday makers. A major re-think is needed by SWW and the councils. INFRASRUCTURE BEFORE HOUSES its that simple

DCC & TDC have also been known to reduce and then try to enforce speed limits around the area without the nessessary traffic orders and road modifications to support such. It seems even when they are caught out on legal grounds they still dont rectify their errors. Cockwood straight 30 limit not a built up area and no street lights. Starcross and Dawlish Warren 20 mph not legally enforceable ...

Have just messaged Redrow Homes to ask what their contingency plan is, as they seem to be going ahead with the development regardless. Would be interested to know if any of the Secmanton Lane area developments also fall into the no SANGS no sale requirement. I feel some back handed, dodgy dealing is taking place somewhere along the line.

Who is going to cut the grass verges, empty the green bins, clean the public toilets, etc. Bet it all gets done in and around Forde House and County hall. What has happened to all the money the authorities are coining in from all the new houses, and if they have no money to cut the grass how can they afford to CP and maintain Warren farm and surrounding land.

Lets put you all straight here as you seem to know very little about the system. There is some truth in the fact that all the fuel comes from the same place but the point thats being missed is the additives that Sainsbury's and others add to the basic fuel. The octane rating used ie 95 for unleaded is the minimum and there is quite a difference in shall we say refined unleaded and unleaded plus ...

Got to be better than any of the crappy wood huts being built around Gatehouse and Shutterton. At least they have been built properly and didnt arrive on the back of a lorry like most of the new build clones. You want to see some disgusting thoughtless buildings visit the Gatehouse farm area.

Would just like to say a big thanks to all the candidates shame none of you could be bothered to canvass around Shutterton. As for Ted Hockin being re-elected, that has to be the biggest joke of the day. Perhaps someone could list exactly what he has ever done for Dawlish. If the general election results prove anything its that we need to change the system to proportional representation.

@Thomas Your correct about mortgage costs, but I think the term affordable housing directly relates to folk relient on bennifit hand outs to pay their rent. Therefore excluding them from the mainstream mortgage market. As for infrastructure the profit makers i.e Teignbridge Council and the developers dont care about that. The same as they dont care about destroying our green fields, land we ...

Nobody will listen to Green Party politics untill a major global disaster effects the western civilised sector. Even their own  leader travels by first class transport as reported this week, now thats setting a real example. Perhaps the party should buy her a bike, then she can get to meetings via the new cycle paths which "arent suitable for road bikes" but cost tens of thousands to construct. ...
