@Willos If you're concerned about the number of swans why not start a fund where traders can donate to buy a couple every year (they're about £500 a pair). That would soon get the population up.

They certainly are. I wonder how many of our 'Voices for Dawlish' councillors elect will have the bottle (this time!) to declare their true allegiance. Some of them have done a good job but they have to lose the deception - particularly as their agent has just picked up a 'citizen award'!

You can make your support/objection known on the TDC Planning Portal. It only takes a few seconds.

It's this......'thing'! http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/Giant-Statue-Happiness-Dawlish/story-22981093-detail/story.html

FAO MC: Just dropped the photo disc in to the Manor House for Bob. Hope they are of use - he can use them as he sees fit.

...and run by volunteers so no huge salaries to executives. The way ahead perhaps?

They don't necessarily have to make a profit for the owners. Red Devon Housing Ltd, which runs Brook House, is a not-for-profit organisation and any surplus made goes back into the business for the benefit of residents.

I don't see why Teignbridge don't use land they already own for the SANG-S. As I understand it they own most of the land between Breakneck and Strawberry Lane/Oak Hill Cross Road. That would provide superb views and protect that land from being built on. I suppose they don't want to do that that as development land is much more valuable!

I fail to see why land behind Seven Sisters (what used to be Dawlish Common) is designated Coastal Protection Zone when it is miles from the sea and is the obvious place for development (allowing the skyline to remain undeveloped) for any Dawlish expansion. It's nowhere near the coast compared to other land that is being developed - perhaps it's because it's Luscombe land! I'm quite ...

Why not put the SANGS in the already designated Undeveloped Coastal Zone (EN2 - I believe!). That would kill 2 birds with one stone as that land can't be developed anyway. To take land from a working farmer is abhorrent!
