So the lights are out because (they) can't afford it what about the safety factor. How about turning of traffic lights to save money. I would like to see where you get your information, or is it just local gossip which I think you may, just may relish in. However I do appriciate your point of view of which you are entitled to.
Now FredBassett, are you telling me that the new street lights are not on becuase they can't afford it or are you talking about the brook lights past the bridge at Harrisons if so what a load rubbish.
I had left Dawlish May 15th for two months to go to the States. On my return Friday evening and at first clance i thought the Strand looked pretty good until i was outside the co-op and what a mess on the new pavement slabs and all the way up the Strand. Wasn't there a posting sometime back where someone was feeding the GULLS at their home and causing an outcry. Yes, they may be the same inland but surley not hoards of them. Lets just call them SEALAND GULLS.
Another reason for not feeding seagulls. These pictures should be posted around town to show what can happen. They can cause harm to little kids who may be the most at risk. Click link.
