Bunny Homes (developer) have confirmed that they will not now be developing this site.

The DTC submission (see above) says: “ Some of the proposed sites are classified as undeveloped coast. It is imperative that these areas are preserved from all further housing development ”. One of these sites with undeveloped coast designation is the land west of Teignmouth Road. People have been on site today, and said demolition will be in 4/6 weeks, and the Bat man will be on site in 2 weeks. So the post on Eyes of Dawlish saying Bunny homes had pulled out can not be true

Seems like it's a bat issue. In the absence of anyone else living there - they decided to move in. When bats are found they cost money to relocate and this can also delay demolition of buildings. All of which bring additional costs to the developer.

There is a posting on Eyes of Dawlish saying that this development is now not proceeding. Anyone any info?

Excellent submittion but will TDC hide behind "but the goverment have told us to build this number" as per usual.

I'm not misunderstanding the Local Plan review. The sites have been put forward by TDC because , as you rightly say, they have been put forward by landowners. And not all land that was put forward by the landowners was subsequently put on the list for consideration in the Local Plan Review Part 2. You're still misunderstanding the Local Plan review. None of the sites have been "put forward by TDC", they've all been put forward by the landowners (mainly farmers). They are all on this list, but the majority of them will be disregarded. Including, in my view, those around the Countryside Park.
