Roddy met an untimely end and was to be stuffed and preserved in a glass case. I don't believe that Joey was one of Roy's personalites (comments from one of EOD regulars welcome.) Chicken Shed, certainly. Viaduct also unlikely - different preoccupation. Plenty of room for speculation. My guess is that Mr. and Mrs. Man are on holiday. In view of my post to PJD, let me say that I have also welcomed Dawlish Man's contributions, most of which are not abusive. However, it disappoints me when any poster abuses another.

Without disagreeing with your main point, I think that is fair to say that the very reason that Keep Britain Tidy campaigns were run was that people were just as bad about litter in UK as they are now. Litter has been a big problem as long as I can remember. Don

Ziggy, I do live in Teignmouth. I might say two things immediately. The first is that I know some of the people who spend time drinking on the lawn and have seen a great deal of harm caused by alcohol use around both Teignmouth and Dawlish. The second is that I do not drink myself and avoid places where people are drinking. Despite the above, I am uncomfortable with the idea of a ban on drinking ...
