The Exeter inland route to Newton Abbot now is a serious possibility, The risk of another awful disaster is great along the coast not to mention the cliffs and the cost of keeping the line in good order. IF the sea levels are getting higher I cant see the track can stay in place...how can it? Maybe in future trains will go from Exeter - Dawlish Warren and the line end there. It is interesting ...
Surprised there is limited interest in no trains ,,,maybe people would not be bothered if the alternative line was forced back in use to Plymouth. but i bet there would soon be a right outcry if that was planned.
