Does anyone know when the sea wall is going to be open. Seems to be different opening dates. In my opinion it's taking way to long, yes I understand that the weather plays a part in this. The February storms that caused so much damage was repared in just over 2 months end of June I think. Now here we are one year later. Just asking.
I was told that the two black female swans are not to be let out onto the Brooke for fear of the two remaining male swans may attack and maybe kill them. The two females are still incarcerated in the pen here's hoping that thier parole will be up soon.
I have just been to vote at The Manor Dawlish. As this has been my first time voting in the UK for 30 years I found it to be very easy, however some strange points on my observation of voting here. 1. I stopped watching Eastenders and Coronation Street when I left for the USA in 1982. Now back in the UK since 2011 I still don't watch them. There is no need b/c the in fighting and back stabbing is all here on Dawlish.com. However it was getting somewhat boring reading about the "Land Grab " day in day out..... lol.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all ..... another year bites the dust.
Yes, I agree thanks to the council for stepping in to purchase a couple of swans. The black swans of Dawlish are quite a tourist attraction as with all the wildfowl that live in and around the brook, it's wonderful gem for the town. If any young are born in the near future is there any way of protecting the young one's, I don't suppose putting them in the pen would be a solution....
