Tourist! I agree with Wondering....lovely place but the people are awful! Why would someone with your youth and vigor want to spend their holiday in such a fuddy-duddy backward resort when you could holiday in a place much more vibrant? I wouldn't holiday here! And i live here! Also, you could probably get 2 or 3 weeks abroad for the price of apartments/caravans in the Warren! Enjoy your youth ...

The Mount Pleasant is a good gay venue plus the car park below is great for dogging.....

The Warren has always been tacky. If anything it has started to move upmarket more.Oakcliff and Peppermint are vastly improved.If only someone would drop a bomb on the Welcome.

Don't worry. When that marvellous "going to change Dawlish for the better" supermarket turns up everything will be for the better. NOT!

Can anyone explain why Dawlish Warren has such a tacky reputation? With such a beautiful area, why is it spoilt with so many tacky pubs and camps? As somebody explained on an earlier thread, "it's certainly not upmarket". It seems the Warren is a prime example of the junk culture that is spreading throughout this country of ours. Soon everyone will just move to spain ro somewhere like that as its a cheaper way of living. This country is just getting worse and worse with hikes in everything. Probably be best soon to go on benifits, earn more and get more back from them. I saw petrol in exeter on friday upto £130.9 how bad is that.!!!!

With environmental issues seemingly the hot topic at the moment, I feel the impending car tax hikes are an issue that many families have turned a blind eye to. An average family sized car ie mondeos, vectras etc will see a hike in car tax from the current £170 to a whopping £260. How on earth can this be justified.
