I thought the skate park was originally going to be built under the youth centre. Who or what was responsible for the change of plans?
Why did the council spend so much money on the Manor roof when the property is supposed to be in a bad state of repair? Why couldn't the youth centre have been there as a temporary measure ?
Does anyone know anything about the proposed new youth centre? Also will there be a charge for the use of the skate park?
Stokes had a fruit stall on Tuck's Plot at the weekend.
This afternoon my husband and I also witnessed a Dawlish skip lorry driving at some speed along the Exeter Road also on his mobile phone!!!!!
The crossing between Elmgrove Road and the turning to Eastcliff Road. Apparently a car stopped at the crossing and another one went into the back of it. After what I saw this morning It doesn't surprise me!!!
Yet another accident on the Exeter Road! How long before a fatality!!!
I think they have taken up the turfs to accommodate the earth which they are disposing of from the skate park area. It will be interesting to see what happens to the turfs, maybe the council will sell them off!!!
LOCAL. I don't think anyone on this thread have said they don't want the kids to have a skate park. The problem being cutting down perfectly healthy trees to accommodate it. Surely it could have been built on another part of the green.
SO the trees are going to be replaced with saplings. Do you honestly think they will be left long enough to mature!!
