You make a fair point, it does sound contradictory. If the PCC role is considered ineffective and too costly, delaying its removal until 2028 just adds even more unnecessary expense. That money could definitely be better spent on frontline policing or community safety instead of administrative costs and redundancy payouts. It’s decisions like this that make people frustrated with how public funds ...

It’s concerning to hear about the closure fears for the Minor Injuries Unit at Dawlish. While staffing issues are understandable, this service is crucial for the community. The Trust needs to provide a clear plan for resolving these problems and ensure the unit stays open long-term. We deserve more clarity and stability regarding our local healthcare services.
