Just enjoyed an immense Monte Cristo sandwich for brunch and it got me thinking. Much like a line from Gavin & Stacy ..... what are your favourite sandwiches?

Marmite and crisps sandwiches, Dairylea and crisps, cold sausage and piccalli or peanut butter and banana - all good simple fillings.  For posh days (!) brie and cranberry panninis can't be beaten....

works for me, especially the first one. Memories of my childhood that one

"sausage spaghetti monster"

Jam and crisps sandwiches were my favoirte as a child. Strawberry, raspberry or black current jam with beef, bacon or chicken flavoured crisps. Sounds grim but tastes great.

@Philip - yeah, sorry about that. even though i keep it in the back of mind, that i need to adjust recipes for non professionals the occasional culinary term will slip in. still, makes for interaction :-) on my way to adjust recipe now

RE sausage monster, yep it's a bit out there, but my grand kids loved it :-)

This one is a monster of a sandwich, not for the faint hearted or those on a calorie controlled diet. Takes a bit of prep, but well worth it. The infamous Francesinha!!
