Fairly new to town, so can anyone tell me what's what with the shed like shop on the water front? Does it just open in summer or is it closed permanently? Is it privately owned or Council owned etc?

Opens in summer, no point in winter. Private business. it may be council property someone on here will know.

A new lick of paint, colour coordinated to the railway bridge, wouldn't go amiss.

Thanks for that ..... posted for two reasons, it seemed run down / derelict which is a shame plus "retirement" is getting boring & looking for some work or a little venture. Where would one look / keep an eye out for the tender? Online or local newspaper?

It was very well run last summer, with attractive tables and chairs set out overlooking the beach. I used it a number of times. The people running it paint it before opening for the season. It must be difficult to keep it looking good because of the battering it gets from the sea in winter.
