Here we go again - should be a tester to drop the new bridge in place - looking forward to the pics and any video. Much obliged for all your efforts in recording this major engineering project for the town. I would have thought the Dawlish Museum would be interested in keeping a photographic record of this project.

This will surprise ! The information on which my comments were made was obtained from the warden who is keen that previous unsatisfactory situation does not arise again and that he does not have to sell any of the next brood. Lets see how things develop - I am sure he knows best !

The drainage pump under the road at the end of Tucks Plot is being raised, cleared and lowered on a very regular basis. This involves the use of a large crane and a five man team for several hours at what must be a significant financial cost to the taxpayer. Well Done to the Council ! The palms in Tucks plot have been tidied up and the whole plot looks well for the Jubliee. Now lets hope that the drain pump in the main road next to tucks plot does not get blocked and the huge Crane togethether with its five man team join in the festivities. If the proposals for the Strand are going to lead to a dead centre for the town then the numerous dead palm trees in Tucks plot will form a suitable backdrop.!

Lets move on and get it pedestrianised it would look great . After 12 mths everyone will wonder what all the fuss was about. Newton Abbot seems to have adopted the right design formulae.If its attractive then people will come for an all round shopping experience.

I dont care how long it takes or how much it costs = Replace the footbridge and refurbish the viaduct. Fortunately we dont need a pyramid !
