Why is it only the West Counrty have this awful obsession with 'outsiders'? I assume people in Devon have holidays and I know some have second homes in Spain etc. Dawlish properties are cheoper than the South Coast, Sussex and Hampshire..see 'Up your street' website. Well said ! You know people can always say to the Estate Agent .. 'I do not want to sell at that high price, sell it for less'. I was in Sussex last week, houses are more expensive there than Dawlish. I see there is a shop in the middle of town for sale, a chance for a local in Dawlish to set up something you keep wanting? .. but then they will miss it, as you say they are sat in the pub lol.

I agree.. you have a good time. The people who dislike visitors so much actually have the nerve to go on holiday elsewhere and abroad and are put out if not welcomed. Maybe some in Dawlish never go anywhere.
DO something about this website! People outside here must think people in Dawlish are brain dead.. but then. This could be such a good website.
Has Dawlish Community College dropped English? Surely they will have to apply for jobs, perhaps not!

I agrre. Suggestions have been made..I don't think he looks on here anymore and has lost all heart and I don't blame him, it is truely awful. All postings need now to be approved, as they are in newspaper letters. Look at the postings of just today 15th June. Maybe stop this page altogether or perhaps a paid registration membership of some form would clean it up?
