@Lynne The tiny little units on Shutterton are no good for the promotion of employment in the area. We need some larger high class office accomodation like Pyne Hills, but as with the slowly developing units behind Sainsburys no developer will build such until there are buyers on the market. This is the point behind the argument Dawlish has nill employment propects and terrible road access so ...

Also remember North Sea oil and gas would mean cheap fuel for the UK, that also never happened. Apparently it was the wrong sort of oil and had to be exported. Companies like BP made millions if not billions in profit and still our own petrol and gas went up in price. All essential services should be under government control with a fixed price. Private companies especially those from outside the ...

Its just another joke and a step closer to fuel poverty for the UK. The companies like EDF, E-ON, British Gas, ETC should be forced to re-invest their profits into new generation facilities afterall they are the ones that have used and made money out of the existing facilities and virtually run them into the ground. Hopefully the Chinese contribution wont be made of plastic like alot of the ...

Great news - More crappy little wooden sheds you wont be able to swing a cat in. Since when have Barratts ever built a STUNNING collection of anything. Still its good business for the 3/4 size furniture makers, just make sure you view when the doors are on LOL

Putting religion aside. Its about national pride and honouring the emblem of our nation. In America you are not classed as a legal citizen until you have sworn a legence to the flag, the same should apply here, those at TDC who object to the flag should not be allowed to hold a British passport and therefore should be sacked.

Dont know how many have read the news today but it appears our local district council have a problem with individuals and companies that dare to display the English flag of St George. A local Taxi driver of 16 years has been threatened with having her licence revoked unless she removes the sticker flag from her vehicle. This action supported by elected ciir Mike Walters is an insult to every ...

Shopping online is great but it isent sustainable at todays pricing structure. Soon it will be unecconomic for thousands of delivery lorries to be running around all day and night and places like Dawlish and further into Cornwall will be the first to suffer unless new roads are built to improve access. This will be when the remaining supermarkets will be the only retailers left and consumers ...

Thats exaclty what the three levels of local goverment want you to do, shop at Sainsbury's that is. Why do you think they wanted them here in the first place. Tidy little earners for them giving supermarkets planning permission in return for section 106 agreements, and any other sweetners they can get off them Nothing will change until we get a goverment that is prepared to take on the ...

The lane was for years always fully open to road traffic so I think you may find that if anything illeagal has happened it was actually putting the bollards there thus obstructing the highway. Hope you get to the truth of what the leagal situation is as it caused quite a bit of controversey when whoever put the bollards there thus effectivley closing the road.

The sensible answer here would seem to be build employment potential not houses. Its total madness to build hundreds of houses in a part of the country that has very few jobs, and those it has are either seasonal, part time or poorly paid most being all three. We need to be looking after the local born and bred that need housing assistance yes, but to encourage benifit depedant families from other ...
