Carnival 2013

Well the link just worked for me. Despite boasting on the about us page that they are being more professional the page really needs proof reading, grammar, punctuation and use of capitals all pretty poor.  You may think that this is petty but if you want to be professional and attract sponsors little things like this matter, if you cannot show attention to detail on something so basic it ...

The chamber mailing list all got sent details of what was being proposed by the councils with an opportunity to give feedback. I'm no longer a member but I still got it. if the councils chose not to consult residents in that area then that's a poor show but it's not the chamber's fault. I'm not saying that there aren't women in similar situations but to imply that all people claiming benefit are purely victims of their situation/circumstances isn't accurate. and yes, I know what it's like struggling, my parents had very little, my mum went hungry to feed us kids.  My dad worked all hours doing two jobs to ...

But not all people fall into the descriptions in the Church report Lynne, surely you can see that for some being on benefits is a lifestyle choice. I agree that most people who claim some sort of benefit are in real need but I know women who would rather have another child than get a job, if they have a steady partner frequently they don't bother to work either. Not all claimants are victims ...

Neil, if you look around there are companies who have an ethical policy.  I only invest in companies that do, with help from a financial adviser who specialises in that area.  Side issue I know but wanted to say it. back the point, sort of.  At one stage I needed the benefit system and I was bloomin' grateful for it too.  Only a few months but whilst I was unable to work due to sickness ...
