Update Web

I just clicked 'Whats on' and it shows 2008.

Sainsburys seems a nicer store .. so no tears from me if Tesco do'nt bother to set up shop. Think Tesco's attention has now moved to elsewhere in Devon.

Really good to see some positive points about the College. I was on a bus and overheard a parent run all the teachers down and the Head. Seems the paremt has stopped his son going to college and he has been to court over it. I had to smile as I heard him say to his friend 'I never learnt anything when I was at school so it is far better to teach him at home!' I am sure his son will not thank him ...

I take it you dont own one? Same type properites on the south Sussex coast are £20,000 plus more than Dawlish. So to move there, tis a problem I'm working on. Check out 'Up Your Street'.

Bus service is every 15 minutes all day to Exeter and Teignmouth. Hourly in the evening. Last bus from Exeter and Teignmouth is at 1135pm. The GP surgery is OK but you have to get in early to get an appointment, thats the same anywhere. The Hospital is next door. I dont know about the dentists here. As for that comment about positive response. Probably the only thing wrong with Dawlish really ...

Truth hurts don't it

You still will not say why you would not go back to Stokes to tell them? You have been asked THREE times. .. so perhaps its all about getting people to shop elsewhere. I bet Stokes is good enough if you want a raffle prize for a fund raising do.

Why did you not tell Stokes? They may have actually been grateful to you for telling them and they could complain to their wholesaler. I know I would rather be told, having once had a shop, than people just go elsewhere... mind I wouldn't want to sell food! Is very possible thry get stock from the same wholesaler as the local superstores anyway, so it was luck of the draw. Bad luck on Stokes but ...

Have you been back to Stokes to give them a chance to see what they say? Maybe that would be better than to rubbish their name. Stokes surely has a reputation to keep where as with Tesco people soon forget. I bought some satsumas in Iceland and after three days two were going off. They looked ok from outside.. but then that is the case with people too lol. You could open a shop in Dawlish and ...

Of course what people dont realise is, even if you paid 10p an item more in town .. 50 items you pay £5 more than at Asda / Tesco. In fact you would spend less in real terms, the big stores tempt you to fill that trolly and people do. How much does it cost to drive, fuel etc .. and what is your own time worth? Do you like the queues? Again you only get the downside here, see the posting earlier ...
