Iv never contributed to this site before, my husband and myself saw the lights we have never seen anything like it before would love to know if anyone knows anything about them
I think Anon was trying to make the point that although DADS have a faithful following they don't actually represent the views of the WHOLE of Dawlish as they (and you) would like to think. As you will see from some of the posts on here there are a mixture of views, both for and against the proposed Tesco plans.
Compromise- what deal is it you're suggesting? Tescos give the football club a revamp? And how would that work exactly?? :s The people who are so anti-Tescos seem to think the new store is going to be huge, that the roads will need widening where Sandy Lane meets Exeter Road etc but personally I can't see it. The proposed site is going to be too small to build a store the size of Newton Abbot's! ...
Why is that the residents of Dawlish have pissed and moaned for years about Somerfield / Co-op / Costcutters and then as soon as there is a competitor on the horizon you are all up in arms about it?! Personally I think the land out at Shuttleton would have been a better location (albeit a little too far out of town to be of any real benefit to people without cars) From what i can gather it's not ...
I used to live at Prospect House and always found it to be very quiet, the residents were friendly and it was nice and handy for town. The only downside was the long walk up Strand Hill with my shopping! :)

If you like the Starcross ferry you may be interested in the evening cruises Mark & his family also run. It operates between June & September, leaving Starcross at 6.45 returning at 9pm. It takes you all the way up the River Exe, stopping for a drink en-route. From September there is also an afternoon cruise of the same route leaving Starcross at 12, returning at 2.30. Prices for both cruises are ...
My friend Mark skippers that ferry! The ferry from Starcross runs on the hour from 10am up until 5pm (6pm in August). Ferries from Exmouth to Starcross run on the half hour. Current prices are £5.50 return for adults, £3.50 for kids. Or if it's a single journey you want it's £4.50 for adults, £2.50 for kids. Hope this helps, if you need any further info just let me know :) Sarah x
In the UK there is no free legal way of finding out who it belongs to other than actually calling the number and asking who it is.... often the simplest method. If this fails the only UK website to offer this service is mobile118 and that will only tell you who the number belongs to if the owner has gone to the trouble of putting their own mobile number on the site and registered with them. Good ...
Just because you live in Dawlish doesn't mean you have to work there too.... it's called COMMUTING. You can do this via train, bus or car. With property prices always increasing it's hard to be a first time buyer in Dawlish but if you are lucky enough to be able to afford a mortgage you will get a sizeable profit when you go to move. You can work in Exeter for any number of national companies all ...
