As I understand it (and Joey Deacon has got it wrong as usual)It is the path to the side of the Ugly Duckling, not the bloody main footpath that runs in front of it "hammer head." Planning permission has not yet been granted and being the good proprietors they are, they will not mess with Authority.

Remember folks, the law requires that street collections should be made in sealed containers. Those that made the law, must have had doubts about those collectors that could make off with a bob or two by putting their mucky fingers into the bucket and grabbing a handful. Most on this forum are locals, I doubt if any have stopped there except if youv'e picked up a duckie in the Mount Plesant Inn and want somewhere to stay for the night.

Rotary and Round Table are registered charities. What other charities collect for other charities and why do they do it? I guess there is more in it for them than they care to declare.
