A good price to make a very nice little gem out of and with a stunning view from the garden. Not so sure about the garden features, I think I would just prefer a few gnomes although not 20feet high. Maybe a foot or two.

@Gary Taylor ..... i beg to differ, their (being whoever is in power at the time) track record of doing what is in the interest /best for the dawlish people is sadly lacking in my opinion. obviously we all have opinions and that is why dawlish.com is an excellant site for airing them.

Dawlish is slowly going downhill in terms of its amenities, shops and general well being. The councils (Dawlish, Teignbridge, DCC) seem to have autonomy in making any info about planning/projects that may cause public unrest  'confidential' when ever they please. Planning, in my opinion, is sadly lacking when it comes to large housing developments. Especially in the case of safe ingress/egress ...

I'm surprised that there has only been 2 objections to this request for change of use to dwelling. It is a larger site than Mr Stone presenently has an appeal open on for land adjoining that has plans for 2 detached houses. I cannot see Mr Stone settling for 'A' dwelling on this rather more substanstial plot. I would assume 1) change of use to dwelling, 2) application for 2  dwellings or more! ...

Saw this on Youtube today with the main criteria listed as 'highlights the need for new homes and jobs for local people' Yeh, belive that you'd believe anything.

I walk along a track that sits some height and distance from this car crash they call a 'housing development(s)' on a daily basis. It is just a peice of land the developers have maixmised their profit potential buy cramming as many properties into a limited space. Their seems to be little in the way of additional infrastructure to support this large volume of properties, schools, etc. South ...

I noticed the barriers a couple of nights ago, thanks to those who were involved in this project. It may not stop those ignorant people who cycle along the sea path and put everyone else at risk, but at least they have no excuse not for seeing the signs. I will feel more inclined to voice my opinion to those cyclists who decide to flaunt said signs from now on.

The only way to help those requiring a roof over their heads is to use a large percentage of the smaller new builds as subsidised rental homes. As was the original idea of the council estates. The problem with the council estates philosphy was that social services never did their job. That being to monitor those renting and make sure they did not stay their for generations. Those that kept ...

Landlords may have to pay the 3% stamp duty, but as the same with any business, in it for profit, it is the customer who will end up paying the price for these increases. As with most things those in power have little understanding of the effects there actions have as long as there is money or votes to be made.

I would bet it's a fair chance it will be a bookies because there is no need to change the use as it was a bank it comes under the same usage, The first, second and roof space were changed to 5 flats,I assume, after the 2012 planning application was granted on planning application 12/00537/ful.
