Happened over the past hour with roads closed around the RCH Bridge House, Could see 3 fire engines, several police cars, paramedic unit, one ambulance and the Police helicopter. The helicopter lander in the field off Newhay Close by the church. It looked like a single person was taken by ambulance from the RCH to Newhay Close and on to the awaiting ambulance. @SoulofDawlish - i wonder what they mean by 'the bridges must be high enough for electrification'. does that mean that if there are tunnels on the route, they would also have to be enlarged! I noticed this 'Planning underway to electrify Bath's railway'. This will be completed long before any electrification happens down here, if ever. ...
We all know what the issues are:- 1) Ineffective maintenance of the route by a profit sucking private company. Whose only goal is to bleed every single penny out of the system to stick in their own pockets. 2) Trains that are poorly designed for the route they travel and have not been modified to deal with the coastal route. @flo - i think he means low impact to them, because all they do is destroy natural beauty spots and leave tons of junk strewn around for the taxpayer to cover the cost of the cleanup and the legal cost of having them moved on. i may be wrong though!
