Saw this whilst surfing the net this morning and thought it was quite a good idea. Checked the nearest place to us that does it. Nearest was Bude and had a few white goods.
Wonder if it would catch on around here. I'm sure there's lots of good gear sitting in peoples garages,
lofts and sheds looking for a new home.
The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 5,181 groups with 8,028,965 members around the world. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by local volunteers (them's good people). Membership is free.
