Dawlish Discussion

Happened over the past hour with roads closed around the RCH Bridge House, Could see 3 fire engines, several police cars, paramedic unit, one ambulance and the Police helicopter. The helicopter lander in the field off Newhay Close by the church.

It looked like a single person was taken by ambulance from the RCH to Newhay Close and on to the awaiting ambulance. They were then placed into the helicopter and after about 20min's or so flew away towards Plymouth.

According to the E&E a person was trapped under a cherry picker,hope they are ok :(

He has been taken to the trauma unit at Derriford with serious leg injuries, there was also another person trapped with him

I don't want to see photos of someone's misfortune, especially when their condition isn't known.    All this is deeply unpleasant.
