A CHARITY helping adults with additional needs is urgently calling for road safety measures to help its vulnerable users cross a busy main road. Dawlish Gardens Trust has launched a petition asking for support for its bid to install a refuge along the busy A379.

A 40-YEAR-OLD Dawlish man has admitted a series of frauds over a two year period totalling £76,000. At Exeter Crown Court, Christopher Matanle, of Morningside, Dawlish, pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud between June 2021 and June 2023.

STROKE patients and their families are benefitting from a garden makeover at Newton Abbot Community Hospital thanks to Dawlish Water Rotary Club. The prize winners from Rotary club’s popular pub quiz were asked to nominate a local charity to receive their prize.

UNCERTAINTY surrounds the future of the minor injuries unit at Dawlish Community Hospital following suggestions it may close for good. The unit, which only reopened in April last year, is used for minor injuries such as cuts, sprains and scalds.

Dawlish Chamber of Trade is preparing to celebrate the first anniversary of its popular ‘Coffee Connections’ networking event.
