Just the accommodation for 2 weeks for a 2+2 family at a Dawlish Warren caravan park starts at about £1000, then there is the travel, food and entertainment costs. Adding a tax on the visitors doesn't seem right.
Waterfowl, flower beds, tourist info office, crazy golf, the manor, library, bowling green, etc, it will all be gone one day.

Yeah too much money is spent on London, I realise it does benefit us all to have a great capital city, but it's time to spread the development money about a bit. I can understand that HS2 is a very nice thing to have and I'd like to ride on it, also during construction many thousands of people would be employed. @Lynne , yep sounds fair to me. If some enemy personnel are killed during strikes on the CW sites then who cares. Good riddance.
I guess that is a possibility. We could assume that the chemical weapons have a fairly limited range and that no 'good' people will be anyway near a military site. President Obama doesn't seem to be gung-hu, I hope he'll only authorise a missile strike where the odds of a positive outcome are good.
I don't agree with her views on Syria. Missile strikes against the military sites suspected of chemical weapons use would be an ideal response.
