Oh dear. I dont begrudge it either. I only asked if anyone else had difficulty in accessing the site, and it seems you have too.
Hi all. Has anyone else experienced difficulty in trying to read the Gazette online version?
Well done webmaster.
P56 of todays Dawlish Post has some day by day info. A Free Newspaper .
Isn't it strange that the CC have put a block on Ziggy's post so we cannot see what is going on next week and will have to pay £2 for the privelage. Even their website is less than basic. In comparison, I also find it strange that I can read the Express and Echo and the abridged version of the Gazette along with many other newspapers for free online , publications that we have to pay ...
@wondering Agreed. But after last years outburst by Ms Farley directed at 'outsiders', I'm surprised that there is a carnival this year. Has she or any of the CC apologised for the abuse to the 'outsiders' in this town who gave so generously in the past? Notice I say 'gave', as being an outsider myself, I will not be supporting this carnival ever again. Sorry ...
Go back 4 or 5 years and yes, it was great and had been for quite a few years, but unfortunately, just look at last year. Need I say any more?
@Andysport Hi mate. Is that development (on the old A30between Clyst Honiton and Rockbeare Straight) still going ahead? Last I heard was that it was put on hold. Correct me if I am wrong.
@Duckileaks So in other words, you are saying that people in Dawlish have no experience of the 'outside world' then!!! The reason why I suggested that it would be better if a local person had the job was that they would have the good of the town(s) at heart, and not just doing it for the money and getting paid regardless of the results. Maybe loyalty doesnt seem to matter ...
Considering that Emma came from East Devon, wouldn't it be better to have a local person employed in that role? Anyway, good luck Emma in your future employment.
