@Mycomp - everyone is allowed there opinion on this site as long as it doesn't offend and i believe those that post on here, even m.v. are fully aware that there is 'a whole world out there'. I agree that some subjects nose dive into negativity thanks to a certain individual, but on the whole, I believe, this site is a positive part of the Dawlish community and interested parties far and wide. ...

@Lynne - I think we all know what the slogan "make Britain great again" was used for. It meant different things to different sections of our community. It was a neutral statement of potential positivity for all, but, as you say, it was not defined within specifics as that would have diminished the statement. As to what will actually happen with the political interpretation, who knows.

Good on him, how many presidents before his possible win were multi billionaires. The u.s needs someone who is not easily pushed around. Although I think the u.s will have to be renamed C.O.R.P u.s.a if he wins. It seems our wish to exit the E.U. stink pile has got our fellow european land grabbers all worked up to show their true emotions to the corrupt government machine. The Bilderberg ...

The key word here is 'respondents' that is not everyone who attends or tries to get an appointment at the surgery. It is only the number of people who participated in the survey. Without a number for those who participated it is a little naive to assume the majority of people are happy with the services provided. Also being able to speak to someone at the surgery is not necessarily going to get ...

There's no argument that the Successor class replacement project does employ a lot of people in the U.K. and that billions have already been spent on procurement of materials and parts. Also hundreds of millions on upgrading/building larger structures for fabrication. The bonus is that we can use the old missiles with a little rework, what a bargain. A nuclear deterrant is very cold war ...

Leadsom or May

Taking on Boris shows May, in appearance, as a more credable PM to some of those who voted to leave, but I would think it is more tactical than putting together a more balanced cabinet. Don't think that because a lot of us voted out of the E.U. we are going to have an easy exit transion, if any, with many of those who voted remain at the head of the goverment instituition. As they say, time ...

Glad that the fields at Sandy Lane were not destroyed by this short sighted parking excercise, nice to see the greed of those involved thwarted the use of it by those visiting the event. Powderham had plenty of space, it was an event at their site and they have open their fileds to parking for previous events. It seems more madness than common sense and judgement run the local councils round ...

Having a walk around Dawlish yesterday one item for the comfort of young and old alike, visitor and local is the number of benches that have disappeared over the years. The Lawn - the seating is far less due to the concrete shelters being demolished and the wall being taken down parallel to the highstreet. Under the railway bridge on the front. There is a sheltered area that used to have ...
