OPEN air theatre came to Dawlish with a production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. The Sun And Moon theatre company staged the play on The Lawn as part of the Dawlish Town Council organised programme of summer events.

A MAN who stabbed his brother at the family home in Newton Abbot has been sent for treatment at a psychiatric unit in Dawlish. Shane Poblocki was suffering from a severe bout of mental illness when he attacked his brother Dean on September 19, 2022.

DAWLISH can now boast its own ‘islands in the stream’ after the watercourse through the town has developed areas of beach. The Brook is a major draw for tourists and the home of the town’s iconic Black Swans and other waterfowl.

Just a reminder that, thanks to Lorna Wheaton and her email to BBC Spotlight, a reporter is coming to Dawlish tomorrow (Monday) to see what is happening to the Brook and surrounding area. He will be at the Bandstand at 11.30 with a cameraman and will want to interview a few local people. Please come along if you can to show the level of disgust we feel at how unkempt the town is looking. ...

@Steve That means nothing to me. Considering that the Tories were in power when all this was planned back in October, I can only assume you mean them. As work started in late May, I cannot see that Labour would have had all this planned and contracts exchanged in the few weeks that they had in power.
