@DAC The only councillor I know of is the Mayor, Anthony James, who was spouting forth on Spotlight tonight about the event. He said British Cycling asked for it to be held in Dawlish, and the council in partnership with local traders thought it was a good thing. Was there really ‘overwhelming’ agreement to support further exploration into buying the 17th century pub with the aim of running it as a community pub? Or is that just what the MDA and Wrigley want us to believe? The Dolphin in Kenton isn't comparable as half of it hasn't crumbled to bits.

The Mayor has just been interviewed on Spotlight justifying closing down the town for the day, behind him the Strand was virtually deserted.

Whose bright idea was it to hold the event on a working day? The council should not have sanctioned the road closures.
