The cygnet that was attacked yesterday by the dog is doing ok. It will be kept under observation for a couple of more days and has had antibiotics for the puncture wounds to its belly. The rest of the family are doing fine. Please keep all dogs on leads!

And oh wouldn't it be such a delicious irony if the value (quite literally) of the ransom strip was effectively wiped out by this recently approved housing scheme going ahead (being built by Templar Homebuild Ltd I believe) and achieving access from a different aspect (albeit at the cost of a 300 year old oak tree.)

When toilets were constructed in a new building at Orchard Manor School in Dawlish in 2016, they were incorrectly connected directly to a surface water drainage system, instead of the public sewerage network.
