On the subject of Teignmouth, and with reference to another thread concerning the number of new homes needing to be built, (see https://dawlish.com/thread/details/47463 ), whilst it is planned for Dawlish to have another 1000 or so new homes,  in T'mouth the number is but 100.

Southwest rail resilience programme, it may be good for stopping the railway line falling into the sea, but in my opinion, it is destroying Dawlish as a seaside town.

A woman has been rescued from a house in Dawlish after her kitchen caught fire when food was left unattended on the cooker. What has it got to do with Teignbridge council. When we questioned planning at one of the consultation meetings we were told that Network Rail dont have to get local planning consent as they have blanket coverage from central government to pretty much do what they like on their own property. I don't think that the election has anything to do with it. Proper regular patrols should be effective. Once the ASB stops, patrols will be assigned elsewhere, and ASB there may come back. It is a continual problem.

@carer Got to look on the bright side from"our Alison"  saving money by employing an almost policeman Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) work with police officers and share some, but not all of their powers.

Unfortunately there has been a fire at Coryton Cove destroying the bins, flagpole and damaging the floor, public rescue equipment and signs. We don't know if it is arson but it is a good reminder not to put hot ashes in a plastic bin
