See below an extract from an article in the i newspaper a few days back. “.......(housing) supply in the UK is in the hands of private developers who have very little incentive to build out at a rate commensurate with (housing) demand because this would lower market prices. Developers hoard land and wait for it to increase in value before building on it. When they do build, it’s not in their ...

Doris does not want to give up his emergency powers. Without emergency powers he can no longer railroad through anything he wants, the vaccines still in trial until 2023 cannot be dished out to all the sheep and he cannot enforce lockdowns, etc. All that is being currently orchestrated by Doris and his goons is to keep up the farcade of this scamdemic until we enter the next seasonal flu. Suspended sentence! 21 months what a joke. The uk legal system is as bad as the Uk Government when it comes to actually doing a proper job.
We need police officers to actually walk the beat not just shoot passed in a police car with the windows up a couple of times a week. These ferals use places like Boat Cove and other tucked out of the way places to get up to no good. There used to be a pcso that actually went around Dawlish talking to the kids and adults. Haven't seen him in a long while most probably made the rest look bad. ...

On the subject of Teignmouth, and with reference to another thread concerning the number of new homes needing to be built, (see https://dawlish.com/thread/details/47463 ), whilst it is planned for Dawlish to have another 1000 or so new homes, in T'mouth the number is but 100.
But as dear Alison got in again, she will sort it out. (Pigs have been fed and ready for take off) I wonder how many people complain about the police but voted that waste of space in again?
I agree with the posts. If you haven't opened your council tax bill make sure you are sitting down.
Southwest rail resilience programme, it may be good for stopping the railway line falling into the sea, but in my opinion, it is destroying Dawlish as a seaside town.
Darryl Riches was given just a 20 per cent chance of survival and was left with life-changing injuries - now he wants to give back to those who helped save his life In May 2002, Darryl Riches from Dawlish was on his way to work when he was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry. The result was catastrophic, and all of the bones in Darryl's skull were broken upon impact. Read more... ...
Disgusting person. Should have got a longer sentence.
Fantastic to see a new independent greengrocer opening in Dawlish today. It's the return of a great local resource after losing Stokes a few years ago. USE IT OR LOSE IT folks!

@deedoodle, Shame you didn't contact Alison Hernandaze as she would have investigated as it's voting time again she would probably forgo half of her £80k salary to place another Bobby on the beat........oh wait !! Didn't she get more money for that already
What has it got to do with Teignbridge council. When we questioned planning at one of the consultation meetings we were told that Network Rail dont have to get local planning consent as they have blanket coverage from central government to pretty much do what they like on their own property. What you mean is TDC decided to stick their hooter in, waste more council taxpayers money and no doubt had ...
Dawlish neighbourhood team are out around Dawlish town centre please feel free to come and have a chat.
They should have bought the land by Langdon if they were serious. Would have been better than a load more poor quality wood huts with prices our local youngsters will never be able to afford
Dawlish’s new farm shop is still on course to open – but it’ll be slightly later than originally planned. No shame to being patriotic just commenting on the lack of interest .......
Unfortunately there has been a fire at Coryton Cove destroying the bins, flagpole and damaging the floor, public rescue equipment and signs. We don't know if it is arson but it is a good reminder not to put hot ashes in a plastic bin

Or it will change to a block of flats and be counted as affordable or part rent part buy. That's what happened on the Redrow site.
1263 the reserves are mainly held for protection of the pension fund. Teignbridge accounts showed I think three years ago that they managed to find an extra 1 million pounds to pay into the staff pension fund, this was at a time when they were closing toilets and cutting services.
