Doesn't all this show just how much we need to be as self sufficient as we possibly can be? An increase in UK based food production (ie farming) and energy production come immediately to mind. All those necessary things that we import from abroad could be cut off. What then?

Frightening. Putin is a bully and the biggest threat to world peace. He is NOT interested in diplomacy and only interested in what HE thinks is right.
