We are sad to inform everyone that there has been an unfortunate incident where the father black swan has been killed by a dog on a lead in Tuck's Plot. The waterfowl wardens have the removed the eggs from the nest to continue their incubation in the compound. Mother swan is still at the nest, and we will be maintaining a careful watch on her welfare. The exact circumstances of the incident are ...

And yes, I guess he would be there given that he is Dawlish's County Councillor and Manor Farm, owned by the County Council, is in the parish of Dawlish.

Nice to Cllr Wrigley there again, I wonder if he has a scarf in any other colour...................... (or tie now I think of it, never seen anything other than yellow, it's like he wants to associate with a political party! )

@Lindapetherick Any further info on this? I understand from TDC that they have 14 beach huts at Dawlish Warren, 11 of which are rented out on a yearly basis and that they have 24 beach huts at Coryton Cove, 21 of which are rented out on a yearly basis. I've also now got (via a FOI) the annual increase in rental charges for the past 5 years.

Just some background and general info: Back in 2014 when the present Teignbridge Local Plan was approved, one of the areas designated for future housing development in Dawlish comprised the above three parcels of land. (Known as DA2 in TDC plannerspeak). Originally the area was to have been built out with Gatehouse Farm being the first, followed by Secmaton Farm followed by the Langdon ...
