We have had in the past playing chicken across railway lines, then we had tombstoning which ended in tragic circumstances. Now we have flanking where youngsters are lying face down on various objects and flat surfaces including lying in the middle of the road!! I hope parents are aware this is the latest craze and warn their youngsters of the danger involved in such activities.
Just been told someone who works at the Post Office and lives opposite dialled 999 and was put on 15mins hold maybe thats why the police came late!! Not used to such crime here.
The Post Office at the Mariner was raided early this morning. The area has been cordon off by police. It is thought a black Range Rover might be responsible. Apparently they were after the cashpoint machine. It must have been very frightening for everyone around that area.
Dawlish beach has re-opened after it passes its latest water testing. The test results received on Saturday has given the beach the all clear. The source of the pollution remains a mystery.
Perhaps they went for a swim!!!!
Swimmers are warned yet again not to swim in the sea at Dawlish. Earlier in the month failed water test closed Dawlish beach to swimmers due to failed water testing, believed to have been caused by heavy rain. Oh dear, so Tesco lost their appeal. Now the council will have to do something about the state of the road leading to Lady's Mile. I would imagine they have been waiting to see if Tesco's got the goahead so they would then repaire the road etc.
Dawlish beach remains closed today as it failed a routine test which is carried out frequently during the summer season. Further samples of the water have been taken and the results should be known by Friday. It is thought that the heavy rainfall on Sunday is to blame.
