@ Margaret.The Engineering works at Whiteball Tunnel finish tomorrow morning 2am. I did reply to a post saying that you talked to railway staff, and I said was It FGW or Network Rail. I did not receive a answer. I have not heard anything different about Engineering works finishing on a different day or days.
@ZIGGY . ask network rail, you never know, they might be able to answer your question, or point you in the right direction.
@ Margaret. When you say rail staff do you mean platform staff(FGW) or engineering workers( Network Rail) ? Just asking.
@RailCamLive Glad that the Dawlish Webcam will be back in action soon even though its via another website.
@Carer . how about raising the sea wall at the dawlish end, like they have at langstone cliff end. carer, i have not been to sidmouth but do these islands stop rough seas?
@OLD FART . i saw on bbc and sky that the railway line is to be out of action for 4-6 weeks.The sleeper service is not running until Monday March 3rd. i saw also a young man with a young child all but crying as he had to evacuate and he said last night was scary. i echo that full praise to be given to emergency personnel and services.
@michaelclayson . all tomorrow. low water 3.15am( 3feet 2 inches) , high water 10.3am (14ft.9 inches) , low water 3.42pm (3ft.8inches) , high water 10.25pm(13 feet 8 inches). Give or take a few minutes.
@Carer . they could have put them at dawlish, that would break up the rough seas somewhat. you`ll still see the trains and sea.
@Carer . i saw the damage tonight on tv and it looks pretty bad to say the least. they have to do something with the sea wall. by the way the trains go via Yeovil and stop at Exeter St. Davids from london paddington due to the whiteball tunnel engineeering works.
The New Dawlish Webcam should be on line within 2 weeks.
