What time on the 4th Friday are the celebrations supposed to start at the station. I heard on good authority that the big event is supposed to be in Teignmouth. If that is correct why?
Yes there used to be a couple of burnt out illuminated black swan signs. I'm sure more longer standing residents know how long they had been not working. When they were taken down i thought they were going of for repair, but that doesn't appear to be the case. They use to hang from the stench pipes. The pipes standing are an eyesore.
Just an idea for the viaduct bridge facing the brook. How about having some budding artist paint the iconic black swans on the panels. It would give more identity for the town.

Just noticed in back of Dawlish post tonight a temporary prohibition order covering the footpath on the sea wall towards coryton cove from march 15 to sept 20 .does this effectively mean that part is closed until sept ? Alternative route is given as marine parade I'm just wondering how this will affect beach access ,airshow day etc , not to mention the beach businesses , boat trips cafes etc, I ...

In fact i was talking to the owner of Willows only last week and i commented that it could be good for Dawlish with all the National and International news. I agree that it could be a good opportunity for Dawlish. I only posted that link to show how the populous choice in where they go for thier holidays.
