Muse chose to come to Teignmouth they weren't paid to come by Teignmouth. Bandstand didn't happen because council at the time couldn't agree on a design, then as i inderstand it they were told that if current one was knocked down permission wouldn't be given for a replacement due to being in a flood plain (the fact that water hasn't ever reached that far irrelevant) i believe that money was ...
BB - don't lump air show in with carnival two separate organisations now. I'm fairly sure that if you offer to help air show you would be welcomed, and used.
Hope not. I can't imagine anyone from the Carnival Committee replying on here but I hope they take note.
Bloody autocorrect, bode well not bode we'll, but just proves my point about proof reading!!!
Well the link just worked for me. Despite boasting on the about us page that they are being more professional the page really needs proof reading, grammar, punctuation and use of capitals all pretty poor. (I will admit I haven't looked at Facebook) david is stepping down after three excellent years as chair, ...
Ah well I was told wrong then. Usual Dawlish gossip accuracy! Many things that have been said by and about carnival have been interesting in recent years, I shall watch with baited breath to see how things progress this year....
@User 4549 , i was told that they are no longer a public interest company, no idea if that is right but if it is then they probably don't need to publish reports or accounts again!
Perhaps I'm old fashioned but I consider quite a lot of those examples to be crime, which should be dealt with as such. anti-social behaviour to me is belching at the dining table and breaking wind in public! Calling crime anti-social behaviour trivialises it and the impact of it.
The information on these men is great, really interesting. I agree with Huw, blue plaques is the least they deserve, Dawlish should be proud, there can't be many towns of our size with so many connections to VC's.
