You are spot on Fred thats exactly what he said he then mentioned huge investment for Railways in the north and investment into extra lanes on the M62 as usual we get the crumbs.
He could have also increased fuel duty on diesel by 30 or 40% to get those polluting engines of the road and doubled the duty on fags saving the NHS millions and cutting down the amount of fag ends on the streets of Dawlish.
He should have increased duty on beer wines and spirits by 30 or 40% and left the disabled alone.
So will we have the fair??
I think if you read the Dawlish Carnival post you will see i have made my feelings on the matter very clear.
The point is this post was started because Brian Devon was concerned that he hadn't seen Michael around town he was only concerned that something had happened to him why because he is a caring person it had nothing to do with the Carnival just Michaels welfare and thats it.
If everybody worked as hard as Michael this country would be a better place.
I used to see him most days i to havent seen him i will make some enquires.
The problem is that Police traffic powers ie on minor offences have been watered down the PCSOs have had there traffic powers removed and it was in there remit to deal with cyclists,obstructions etc so now there is no one and peeople know it thats drivers and cyclists alike. The idea was that the CEOs dealt with these things but one they haven't the man power, consider we see one in Dawlish 3 or 4 ...
