I saw an ad in Wednesdays Herald Express for a roomto let in a house share it said would suit Eastern European, is this racism if was to advertise a room saying suit a British person would I be breaking the law?
As I said before everyone I know including myself shop at Tesco etc and shop in Dawlish as well I go to Teignmouth to the greengrocer butchers and chemists as they are not part of a chain. Newton has 2 big supermarkets and the town thrives people in Dawlish seem to not want change or progress. I never heard one complaint when Bet Fred arrived did Dawlish really need another betting shop
Why are people worried about having a decent supermarket in Dawlish. How will it affect the local shops. If I want to buy clothes household items decent priced food I have to go to Teignmouth Exeter or Newton. Everyone I know who used to shop in Sommerfields now go to Tesco or Asda because of choice and price and they still go down town for odds and ends
So....if locals wont use it what't the point in having it?!!!
Don't quite understand why you've published that list of names Open Daw. Are you naming and shaming (because they are against a supermarket) or openly proclaiming (that they are against a supermarket)?
No, don't assume anything in life. Actually my job is a Computer Aided Design Draughtsman on a 30k salary. But lunchtimes can be a bit boring so what better to do than wind up you poor sods!
Aaahh, but my daughter is not dawlish born & bred, so that explains it! She got her intelligence from elsewhere!
This is more of a personal moan. Last year my daughter applied to Kingston and Northampton University's after 3 years at local college studying fashion & textiles, but was unsuccessful. She then obtained exceptional pass marks, waited,and applied this year at Liverpool and Brighton Uni's.Again unsuccessful even though she had her grades!
