General Discussion

Very true!!....since leaving the UK ive discovered that the best way to really appreciate what this country has is to leave for a while and live someplace else......then you see that Dawlish and the UK in general are not quite as bad as people portray them at times.

I moved North to a town about the size of Dawlish its thriving without a tourist trade. It has a huge Somerfield and Sainsburys and a weekly market. It makes me feel despondant Teignmouth is thriving my hope town is going to the dogs

And the Prince of Wales in the good old days of Ray being landlord. Is there anywhere in Dawlish where you can have a game of dominoes or cards etc or sit by an open fire conversation putting the word to right etc. Here in France all those things go on, makes for an enjoyable evening out. Yes there are places with loud music bands etc as well all tastes are catered for.
