When I heard that one of the first Olympic torches that was used in Cornwall was on ebay, I thought "what a disgrace!" But the latest bid is over £150,000 Wonder how many more will be flogged off. (and maybe some security for the 1948 torch in the shop window Teighnmouth might be in order!)

What happened to the last brood frederick? Due to hatch last Easter (6 eggs I believe), one cygnet was to be seen on the "island" for a few days. Shortly after, the two swans were gliding close by, alone, with a few grey feathers left behind.

I only moved to Dawlish last year, and for the first time it was a move that was by choice, not dictated by job/family requirements. I don't get the continual putting down of Dawlish. As an example, was it really that better 55 years ago?
