One thing most Town Councils always excel at is throwing away hard earned money on ill thought out projects, awarding themselves healthy pay and expense rises and blaming everyone else and their dog for their own incompetence. I doubt things will ever change for the better when you put people and politics together you always get a negative sum.
Not fit for purpose. If you are not willing to do the job and you were aware of the expectation on applying then you should be dimissed. If on the other hand the employer had agreed that, due to their religeous beliefs, they did not have to do certain duties then fine. Only problem is that someone has to do it! As Brooklyn Bridge, rightly says, it wouldn't work for a christian in a muslim ...

@ FredBasssett - Dogs are invariably a mirror of their owners own persona. I don't think that you should take it out on the particular species of dog Fred. Just because the dogs have had the misfortune of being chosen by a particular person who may or may not display ASBO tendencies.

@Mrs C - thankyou for such a speedy reply to my question. I wouldn't say that your posts caused me any upset. as is the nature of these type of forums, it adds spice to have a wide range of people inputting into the discussions. As to your confusion over freedom of speech within the participants on this site. I fear that one persons definition of freeom of speech may not be anothers!
