The manhole at the end of Sandy Lane has just sunk for the second time in a few weeks. A car is stuck and the police are in attendance.
I was told that. Apparently it's Dawlish Council not Teignbridge. There was conflict between the Carnival Directors and Dawlish Council. I was told by a reliable source.
'Happy Birthday' cheftallyrand. Where and what time's the party?
There are rumours of the carnival procession on Friday being cancelled. These rumours are not true. Straight from the director's mouth!
A suspicious male who was believed to be attempting pickpocketing earlier today was reported to Dawlish Neighbourhood Police. The Lawn is very busy and crowded so keep your belongings close to you. If you notice any suspicious activity dial 999 and notify the Dawlish Carnival Marshals.
Will there be a carnival next year? With all the negativity at the moment one does wonder!
Did you buy your slush puppie from one of the fair wagons? If so just remember when you take your children to see Farther Christmas at the Christmas Market in the Strand and they get a free toy donated by David Rowland you would have paid for it via your slush puppie.
Had a look around the car boot sale today on the Warren Road. 3pm-6pm. Cars arriving before 3pm were charged £2 for parking, after 3pm £1. Last year the parking charge was 50p. Does anyone know how much they charge for a selling pitch?
I agree Lyn, I walked along the beach to the Warren this afternoon and back along the cliff path. I must say i was surprised to see only eleven people between the Rockstone and Red Rock, also only two people and one cyclist along the cliff path. I thought the schools were out and holiday makers in, where are they?
They look delicious, mine didn't look as good but i will try again.
