There are good points for both sides of the arguement, but at the end of the day, that certain week is called Carnival Week , NOT Fair Week, or Rowlands Funfair Week, but Carnival Week , which is all about Dawlish and it's hard working residents. What a shame that NONE of those who made a speech at the carnival opening yesterday had the decency to mention the passing of Helen Humphries, who in recent years, was probably the best Mayor that Dawlish has had.
Hi Ziggy. I dont know how much they charge for a pitch, but as a matter of principle, I wouldn't go to a Car Boot Sale that charges an admission fee. It's not that I am a skinflint, but I dont see why I should pay to browse junk that other people want to get rid of. It will be interesting to see how much they do charge for the selling pitch though.
Just letting everyone know that Helen, who was mayor of Dawlish 2010-2011 passed away during Saturday night. May she rest in peace.

Hi. As suggested, Dawlish and Teignmouth can be done in a day As you are in Torquay, for another day out, you could do the Round Robin. Go to the Steam train section at Paignton Station to get your ticket. Walk round the corner to get the bus to Totnes.
