Any truth in that it is being held at Teignmouth and NOT Dawlish next year?

Thats a good idea "Nelson" wouldnt have to put up with the noise and all the people on the lawn. Plus it would be another kick in the teeth for our useless council and the Dawlish Gutsache.

Here's another good idea line up the carnival parade at Sandy Lane, proceed along Exeter Road turn right into Warren Road past Mount pleasant and end in the Front carpark on the Warren. Transfere all other carnival week activities to the carboot, Langstone and Warren farm fields and make it the best carnival week in Devon (without the moaners that is).

You don't get it do you?  What people want is a successful, busy and YES, noisy carnival.  It just doesn't need to be noisy just because the fair has taken over the lawn. Did you, "FredBassett", attend the Jubilee festivities on the Lawn?

Sure did, excellent example of a public piss up, some good local bands and some not so good. Pathetic attempt at a stage and a terrible sound system. Anti-social behaviour by the odd few later on did lead to complaints but as normal probably not in writing. I do get it, and what people especially in Dawlish want is something for nothing, had there been a £5 charge say to be on the lawn for the day it may well have turned out different. Was also held on public holidays, all credit to the organisers unfortunatly you only get what you pay for these days.
