@ Michael Thank you for your input making it quite clear that the town council cannot take any action to stem the tide. However all is not lost here. As these charity shops only survive because of donations and volunteers the way to rid our lovely town of these degrading establishments seems simple. Dont donate any stock to them and dont volunteer to run them, better still dont buy from them. ...
@Philip . The point isent about what makes me or anyone else happy, its about whats best for Dawlish. Re-generation is an oppertunity for something new, which is exactly what the new Strand needs. Charity shops are nothing but a feature of an area in decline, and do little if anything for the town itself as you will undoubtably see if any respond to my challenge.
Nah - BNP mate

Not a hope in hell.

Unfortunately Dawlish is an employment black hole, no proper jobs with decent wages and a ...

Tell them you consider your bill to be excessive, and you are not paying any more until you recieve a written review of charges along with their suggestions for reducing the bill. Save the money you would normally pay them in order to clear your account once you get a revised amount, and ...
Having recently told South West Water where to shove their extortionate bill and expecting a court visit anytime soon. I was told by the Consumer Council for water which seem to be a part of OFFWAT, that on a metered supply the average useage should be £10/month/person in the household. Our supply company SWW have the worst maintained network in the country and we have the highest bills. They ...
The glass arts centre and performance stage were as I recall a dream of councillor Prowse.
