Agreed Kenny, but I think you may have missed my point. Just because the date is set for the Carnival, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will go ahead. Looking on the DC website, it has not been updated for some time now. Events like the Carnival Queen crowning. I have seen nothing advertised with regard to that.
Are we having one this year? Cannot find anything on the website concerning this years Carnival which makes me think we are not having one. Does anyone in Dawlish.com land know any different?

Sorry, but I find it amazing that people are too lazy to walk to the shops and worry about where they are going to park their car in the Strand. It only takes a couple of minutes to walk from Barton car park to the Strand, so why the fuss? No wonder people are getting fat.
I see in todays Gazette, that Dawlish has got £10k for new sluice gates on the Brook to help combat flooding. While they installing them, wouldn't it be a good idea if they were to dredge the Brook from the Manor Gardens down to the beach so clearing it of all the silt and other rubbish that has gathered over the years? It would also make the swans happier along with possibly attracting ...
